Step Three, ovarian transposition procedure - There are certain positions which work best surgically and which offer the best blood supply to the ovary during the time it will remain in the transposed position. This diagram depicts those positions. Favored regions include the intra-abdominal paracolic gutters, in front of the psoas muscles (long muscles which connect from the lumbar vertebrae of the back and run through the pelvis to the femur leg bone), and the lower paracolic gutters.
